BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Alan Pitcairn—President

Alan Pitcairn has been producing stock photography images for over 30 years. His agent has sold his photographs to Fortune, Audubon magazines, six different encyclopedias, hundreds of advertisers and textbook publishers. His best selling image is of surf and rocks taken at Cabo San Lucas; it has sold eleven times.

An avid sailor and fisherman, Alan became concerned about the ocean environment in the early 1980's while fishing regularly at San Clemente Island. He became actively involved in numerous fishing and ocean related organizations. Since 1990 he has been a director, Vice President, President, and Chairman of a local foundation.

Mike Mellow—Board Member

Mike Mellow is a native San Diegan who enjoys the outdoor life style-especially surfing, sailing, tide pooling, and fishing. Mike has been involved with many local charities in San Diego that represent a wide variety of issues, including the ocean. His love for the ocean is reflected in his detailed cartographic surf maps and coastal guides of the coast of California and Mexico.
